Free, Drop-In Workshop

[hr]Come one, come all to create artful and fantastically foolish fish luminaries at the Ann Arbor Art Center on Saturday, May 31st from 10am-1pm. Then, bring your finished fish luminary to the FoolMoon Processional in downtown Ann Arbor! Together, we will light up the night!
Instructors will be present at this fabulously fun workshop to guide you in the construction of your unique and festive fish. All ages welcome!
- Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
- This workshop is first come, first serve, while supplies last.
- To ensure you have enough time to complete your luminary, please plan to arrive no later than 12pm.
All materials will be provided, with the exception of lights for the luminary. You may bring your own led lights to the workshop to insert in your luminary or you may purchase an LED light or glow stick for $2, both work well with these lanterns. We accept cash or credit.
About FoolMoon & Processional Info
Join us for the FoolMoon processional on Friday, April 6th in downtown Ann Arbor- RAIN OR SHINE!
Participants will bring their luminary and meet at the Kerrytown Farmer’s Market building at 7:45pm (Look for the Art Center Banner) and we will leave at sundown (roughly 8pm). The processional will walk through the downtown area and ultimately arrive at the corner of Washington and Ashley St. where more fun awaits!
The skyline will be filled with a “moonagerie” of hand-made luminaries, interactive art installations, a DJ light show, live dance performances, and oh so many more de-LIGHT-fool surprises!
