About the Artist:
I graduated from college with a degree in Art Education. I then proceeded to do everything and anything but art; US Army, LAPD officer, and collegiate softball coach – for the majority of my adult life. I started a new business creating custom-designed sports awards for colleges/universities in 2005. This allowed me to begin making my way back to my creative side. In 2014 I started exploring with encaustics and vintage photos. My work is a fusion of digitally altered vintage photos combined with layers of other images, photos, and text. I use either wood panels with encaustic medium to fuse images or I use assemblages in different vessels.
