This Valentine’s Day let’s spread the love for art!
Join us and other museums across the country to spread the love with Hearts for Art. From Friday, February 10 to Tuesday, February 14, you’re invited to show your love for a favorite work of art from our current exhibition ART NOW: PRINTMAKING by placing a paper heart on the floor in front of the artwork.
Step 1: Pick up a single heart (or cut your own) and walk around the 117 Gallery until you find your favorite piece of art
Step 2: Make your love for it official by placing your heart ON THE FLOOR in front of the piece.
Step 3: Take a selfie or snap a photo of your heart placed next to your artwork, and post it to your favorite social media site, tagged with #a2artcenter and #heartsforart
Happy heart-ing!
Did you know? The Hearts for Art project was initiated three years ago by the Oakland Museum of California and Columbus Museum of Art. Last year, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the Philbrook Museum of Art, and the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History all joined in.
