A2AC Art Camps | Scholarship Info & Guidelines

Youth and teens must be the following ages before or during the camp week they are applying to attend:

  • 5-12 years old to attend Creativity Camp and
  • 9-12 years old to attend Clay Camp.
  • 13-17 years old to attend Teen Camp. *A sneak peek of this NEW program will be available on our website beginning May 13th, 2024.

Each child you list on the application is eligible to apply for 1 week of camp per year.

There are no exceptions to age minimums. Children must be at least that age before or during the camp week they apply to attend.

If a child is currently 4, but will turn 5 either before or during the camp week, you may submit a scholarship application on their behalf.

You may list more than one child on the application form.


General A2AC Art Camps Info

We offer 2 different Youth Art Camps and a variety of Teen Art Camps:

Creativity Camps | For ages 5-12 years old.

Clay Camps | For ages 9-12 years old.

Teen Camps | For ages 13-17 years old.

  • Camp Hours are 9:00am – 4:00pm
  • Drop-off is 8:45am – 9:00am
  • Pick-up is 4:00pm – 4:15pm
  • We do not currently offer pre or post-camp care.
  • All students will need to provide their own lunch and two snacks (*Snacks are optional for Teens to bring).

Scholarship Applications for Youth Art Camps

Ages 5-12

To be considered for a scholarship, you must complete a scholarship application and provide evidence of household income.

Applications for both Spring & Summer Youth Art Camps are due by March 1, 2024.

Applicants will receive a response by March 15, 2024.


Scholarship Applications for Teen Art Camps

Ages 13-17

To be considered for a scholarship, you must complete a scholarship application and provide evidence of household income.

Applications for both Summer Teen Art Camps are due by June 3, 2024.

Applicants will receive a response by June 10, 2024.


Evidence of Income

Instructions on how and where to submit these documents will be listed on the scholarship application. Evidence of income is required once per calendar year.

Applicants will be asked to submit one or more of the following documents with their application:

  • W-2 from most recent year
  • Employer Pay stubs: two of the most recent
  • Documentation of governmental assistance
  • Snap benefits letter from food stamp office
  • Social Security/ SSDI/ or Pension Report

*Please include evidence of income for anyone in your household that receives income.

*Be sure to blackout any sensitive information, such as social security numbers.


Scholarship Awards

If a scholarship is awarded, it may cover anywhere between 75%-100% of the camp.


Payment

If you are awarded a scholarship that is less than 100% of the tuition cost, payment of your portion of tuition is due by the date listed on your award letter. An A2AC staff member will reach out to you to facilitate this process.


Reflections Letter

Scholarship funding is made possible by our generous donors. Upon accepting a scholarship, you agree to submit a letter reflecting on your experience and what you valued or gained from it. This letter is due within two weeks after the end of your class and will be shared with current and prospective donors.

Terms & Conditions

Scholarship recipients are expected to attend class regularly and submit the Reflections Letter by the due date. Poor attendance or failure to submit the letter may affect eligibility for future scholarships.
