PARK(ing) Day is an annual event that encourages community members, students, and designers to transform metered parking spaces into temporary parklets. Starting from humble beginnings in 2005 by REBAR Group, the open source project has grown to inspire cities around the world to transform parking spaces into dynamic public spaces on the third Friday in September.

PARK(ing) Day is made possible by the generous support of Synecdoche Design, the Ann Arbor DDA, as well as several individuals who are passionate about art in public spaces.
