Hey local artists!
The Ann Arbor Art Center is once again bringing PBR Art to your favorite night spot, Alley Bar (112 W Liberty, Ann Arbor) on Thursday, October 4, 2018! We’re looking for local artists to create original PBR-inspired art for a one-night-only art exhibition and sale. All selected artists will be entered to win special PBR prizes, and gift certificates to a local tattoo shop. (Plus, free PBR during the event!)
[hr]Here are the rules:
- All submissions must be the artist’s original work
- Any and all artwork mediums are welcome including: painting, drawing, photography, printing, ceramics, jewelry, textile, sculpture…
- All work should be constructed of, inspired by, or capture the essence of the Pabst brand
- All work should include a PBR beer can, logo or brand colors
- 2D entries should not exceed 36″ wide
Digital art submissions must not exceed 2MB in upload size. - New prize category for 2018: Artwork constructed from PBR aluminum cans!
- 3D entries must not exceed 18″x18″

Artwork drop off during gallery hours: Sunday, September 30 to Wednesday, October 3
PBR Art Show opening party @ Alley Bar: Thursday, October 4 at 7pm
Show Duration: Month of October
Pick up artwork: Wednesday, November 7 to Sunday, November 11
Fine Print:
Eligibility: Artists must be 21 years or older to participate.
Media: Works must be original and must not have been previously shown in any competition at the Ann Arbor Art Center. Any artwork medium is acceptable in both 2D and 3D format.
Entry Fee: A non-refundable entry fee of $5 entitles each artist to submit their work for consideration. Credit and debit card payments are accepted; Cash or check payments will be accepted in-person through the Art Center gallery shop. Each $5 entry fee entitles the artist to one submission of up to three images. There is no limit to the number of submissions.
Notification: All artists will be notified of juror selections via email.
Agreement: Accepted artists must complete and sign a consignment agreement and media form before leaving their artwork with the gallery.
Sales: All artwork must be available for sale. The Art Center retains 30% commission on sold work. Artists should price their work accordingly. Commission payments are mailed on the 15th of the month following the sale. Artists must have a W9 form on file in order to receive payment.
Presentation: Accepted artworks must arrive “ready to hang” – the Art Center reserves the right to decline artworks that do not meet PBR Art standards or do not represent digital submission.
Delivery: Works may be hand-delivered or shipped via USPS, UPS or FedEx. Artwork must be delivered and picked up by the artist on the dates specified in the calendar. Artists are responsible for any costs associated with transportation or shipping.
Duration: This is a one-night-only art show and sale event. Purchased artwork may be removed following award announcements. All other artwork will remain on display through the month of October and may not be withdrawn prior to the end of the show.
Liability: Every precaution will be taken to assure protection of the work; however, the Art Center, Alley Bar nor PBR are responsible for loss or damage.
Photography: The Ann Arbor Art Center reserves the right to reproduce accepted entries for use in the online catalog and for publicity purposes.

Agreement: Sending an entry to this competition shall constitute the agreement with all conditions in this prospectus.
