In my opinion, one of the greatest gifts the Ann Arbor Art Center offers is the ability to move with the community throughout its various stages of life. I originally volunteered. In the future I look forward to taking classes myself and sharing the arts with our son.

Volunteers are an invaluable resource, and the Art Center welcomes skills in all areas, at any level and for short and long-term projects. Whether you’d like to stuff envelopes for a day or serve on a committee for one year, there is an opportunity here for you!

Here are just some of the ways you can help us:
Education Program: Help provide art instruction in youth or family programs
Special Events: Assist our staff with planning, promotion, set-up, clean-up and everything in between
Marketing: Create advertisements, fliers and use social media to help all the departments with their marketing and promotional needs
Administration: Use your computer, clerical or other skills while getting an insider's view of work at the Art Center
Gallery Shop: Assist with refilling shop retail and packaging materials, painting displays, and helping customers.
Exhibition Gallery: Assist with the installation of shows, repair/prepare gallery furniture, printing and hanging show cards and other media materials
