SUMMER CREAVITY CAMP CLAY INSTRUCTORS
The Ann Arbor Art Center is currently seeking Instructors for our Summer Clay Creativity Camp program, which runs from June 24th to August 30th for children ages 9-12. Applicants must be available to teach Monday – Friday, 8:30am-12:00pm for the weeks of July 1st-July 3rd, and July 8th-July 26th. Future opportunities may become available. Applicants must be experienced in wheel thrown ceramics.A weekly schedule of events may include field trips, guest artists and Friday afternoon student exhibition organized by instructors. All hired instructors are subject to a background check.
Instructor Compensation: $15/hr
Instructor Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Development and implementation of lessons in accordance with a set curriculum framework.
-Planning and implementation of a classroom management strategy to insure a safe and productive learning environment.
-Maintaining organization of art center studios and supplies.
-Working cooperatively with other Instructors, Assistant Instructors, Director of Programs and the Youth Programs Coordinator.
Previous teaching experience is required with a strong preference for BFA, MFA and Art Education degree holders. College students working toward these degrees will also be considered.
