The Art Center does excellent work - and they throw great parties! I have been associated with the Center since 1991 as a volunteer for Winefest. It was one of my first activities after moving here from Connecticut, and because I was new to the town, the Art Center helped me meet people and get involved in the arts and arts activities.

The Ann Arbor Art Center is a 501(c)3. As one of the oldest arts organization in Michigan, the Ann Arbor Art Center strives to engage the community in visual arts by offering:
With such diverse programs, no wonder we attract an eclectic bunch. From toddlers to seniors, our students choose from more than 250 beginner to advanced level courses using clay, paint, pencil, pastel, metal, fiber, paper, and canvas.
The Art Center offers the community a welcoming environment where you can challenge yourself. Sparking creativity for over a century, the Art Center includes professional staff members, a team of highly qualified art instructors, hundreds of volunteers, ties to over 2500 Michigan artists, and a donor community exceeding 2,000. As we've grown through the years, our outreach programs have expanded as well. Each year over 200 children receive tuition grants for a free year of art courses funded by the Art for Kids Scholarship Fund. Bound by an appreciation for art, our participants and contributors support a facility that encourages beginners, promotes Michigan artists, and works passionately to make art training available to all.
